We believe the Bible to be the LIVING Word of God, that through the power of the Holy Spirit is able to touch us in a dynamic way and bring us the the LIFE that Jesus promised. All too often in our churches, the Bible is studied in a way that leads to dry theological knowledge that has little relevance to the nitty gritty of everyday life, or else it is neglected altogether, so we actually don't know what God's best is for us.
Also, the frantic pace of our modern lives often gets in the way of having the times of quiet that allow us to meet with God, one to one.

At Still Waters we offer you a chance to redress that balance.

The KNOW YOUR BIBLE BETTER studies are aimed at seeing what it is that God has been saying to His people through the ages and is still saying to us today and to encourage you to put it into practice. It is not a dry, academic exercise or a deep theological treatise! We also look at how it all fits together.

This may involve allowing Him to pinpoint issues that need addressing and we like to allow time and space for that to happen and to offer prayer as appropriate. Our experience is that healing and freedom often come as we simply open ourselves up to the LIVING Word of God and the working of His Holy Spirit.

Our aim is that you should go away refreshed, restored, inspired, excited about Scripture and about Jesus Himself!

There is plenty of space in the grounds around Still Waters to find a quiet spot for reflection and the beauty all around is in itself very healing.
